"Studying mankind’s greatest fears from the natural world and legend, the Capellans used their advanced technology to bring those nightmares to life. Some were ripped straight out of legend, while others were entirely new creations that engaged in actions that terrified their victims. The Brute is one of the latter. Brutes have two sets of arms: one set being relatively normal- if exceptionally strong (Str 24) - arms ending in hands capable of using pulse weapons, and the other ending in venom-coated pincers. The pincers secrete paralytic venom that- upon a successful hit- causes the victim to make a Resist vs. Poison or become paralyzed for 1d4 hours. Once paralyzed, the Brute either devours the victim alive, or lays its eggs in them through a method best left unspoken. Brutes lay 3d6+2 eggs in their victims which gestate and hatch in 10+2d4 hours. Once they hatch, the larvae eat their way out of the victim, doing 1d4+5hp damage per egg per round until the victim dies. The Brute will remain by the victim to maintain paralysis during this process.
Brutes are moderately intelligent (Int 7), and able to use Humanoid-oriented tools and weapons. They can and will use ranged weapons, but do not have the intelligence or technical savvy to repair, maintain or modify them."
